青贮从播种到收获以及贮藏各环节，国内牧场实践与国际最佳实践规范还有很大可改善空间，牧场管理者对是否使用青贮乳酸菌存在很大争议，因此为使规模种植者实现盈利，使牧场将优质粗饲料从田间最终送到奶牛口中，本届粗饲料大会主题就以介绍国外先进种植技术，剖析青贮乳酸菌的种类、使用方法和效果为主，即“种好牧草，用好乳酸菌”。
杜邦先锋前两届粗饲料大会回顾 Review of the previous two conferences
在过去的两年里（2013及2014），由杜邦中国集团先锋种子事业部承办的中国粗饲料大会在北京成功举办。参会嘉宾主要来自于大型乳品企业牧场和青贮种植部门。
来自先锋全球牧草业务部的专家及国内学术精英为大会做了青贮玉米、苜蓿种子育种进展，种子评价和选择，播种和饲喂管理，青贮收获管理等专题报告。同时向参会嘉宾进行了美国奶业和牧草生产概况和趋势、美国牧草新技术新理念的介绍，收到了很好反响。
大会的参与者还有全球著名青贮收获机械厂家约翰迪尔(John Deer)、科乐收(CLAAS)、科罗尼(Krone)以及美国播种机械十方公司、裹包青贮机械厂家美国威猛公司(Vermeer)、爱尔兰先锋赛膜可(Samco)覆膜播种机，以及国产农机设备厂商中机美诺企业代表等厂商，他们为与会听众带来了丰富的处理粗饲料的经验并可提供相应的配套解决方案。
During the past two years (2013 and 2014), China Forage conferences were successfully hosted by DuPont China Holding Co. Ltd. in Beijing. These two events were attended by more than 200 guests who are largely dairy farm silage grower managers, silage/alfalfa industry technical managers and silage dealers.
Industry experts from Pioneer and prominent scholars from domestic institutes delivered speeches on silage seed and alfalfa seed assessment and breeding improvement, corn silage and alfalfa storage and feed management subjects, as well as USA dairy and forage status, NA approach to feeding silage. These new concepts were well accepted by audience.
During the conferences, machine companies include John Deer, CLAAS, Krone, Vermeer and Samco gave presentations and collaborated to give silage grower total solution package, which were great helpful for audience to learn the current technology involved in forage industry.
